Installation
1. Drop the folder in
Extract the download into your server's resources directory. The folder must be named
enhanced_map โ FiveM derives the export namespace from the folder name, and renaming it
breaks the search field and the blip checkboxes.
2. Add it to your server.cfg
ensure enhanced_map
Nothing else โ no dependencies, no server script, no SQL.
3. Restart the server, then reconnect
A restart enhanced_map is not enough. The replaced game assets are loaded into the
client when it connects, so they only take effect on a fresh connect.
| What changed | What is needed |
|---|---|
config.lua or any other Lua file | server restart, then reconnect |
| pause map and button bar | server restart, then reconnect |
| radar | full FiveM client restart |
| map theme at runtime | nothing, it applies instantly |
4. Check it in game
- Type
/mapuiโ the pause menu opens on the map page - Click into the map for the large view with the location list
- Click the search field and type โ the list filters live
- Press
Zโ the radar animates out and back in - Type
/maptheme darkโ pause map and radar switch palette at once
Troubleshooting
The map page shows only the white header bar. Restart the FiveM client and reconnect.
The radar is square, or in the wrong corner. The radar is positioned on connect. Reconnect.
Nothing happens at all.
Check the server console for enhanced_map starting, and make sure the folder is named
exactly enhanced_map.
